Registration & Academic Advising FAQ
How do I register for classes?
- New BFA students: You will receive an email over the summer with your class choices.
- Current BFA students: You will meet with the Registrars beginning in late March to review your credits and register for the upcoming academic year.
- Graduate Students: You will be registered for the required courses each term.
- MECA&D Online: You will receive an email with your class choices. Course registration dates are published on the Academic Calendar.
How do I find my schedule?
- Using the MyMECA&D portal
- Log in to MyMECA&D
- Select the Student Info tab
- Under the Student Registration section, select the Term dropdown menu:
- Fall: select “BFA Fall” and click My Schedule
- Spring: select “BFA Spring” and click My Schedule
- Click the + to open the course and see the professor and the textbook if required
- Select the “Print my schedule” link if you wish to download or print a PDF copy
How do I get a copy of my transcript?
Follow the Transcript Request process outlined on our website.
Can I take undergraduate classes at another college for credit?
Yes, please review our Transfer Credit policy.
We also encourage students to explore courses through GPACU Cross-Registration.

What supplies, technology, and/or textbooks will I need for classes?
The First-Year Foundation Supply list is on MyMECA&D and the New Student Orientation page.
Laptop Requirements can be found on the Technology page.
Textbooks, if required, will be printed on your course schedule.
Supply requirements for upper-level courses are outlined in individual class syllabi.
Where do I find my class syllabus and course outline?
Canvas is MECA&D's learning management system where you can access all of your course content, including syllabus, course schedule, assignments, and grades.
Students gain access to their Canvas courses one week prior to the start of the semester.
How do I permit my parents, spouse, or other significant individual to speak with MECA&D staff?
If you wish to provide us permission to speak with someone other than you, please complete the FERPA Permission form on MyMECA&D. The process for doing so is outlined on this graphic.
