Internships
About Internships
We encourage students to participate in internships as a means of gaining real-world experience and a better understanding of potential career paths. Faculty highly recommend these opportunities to apply studio skills in a supervised setting. Artists at Work staff conduct one-on-one meetings with students to assess personal and professional goals. Based on a student's interest, we work together to craft a local, national or international internship opportunity.
Internship Basics
- Three studio elective credits
- Follows the academic cycle for add/drop classes
- Starts in September, January or May
- 135 hours over 15 weeks
- Can be paid and receive academic credit
- Supervisor must have skills related to the assigned duties.
A graphic design internship requires a supervisor trained in graphic design.
