Maine College of Art & Design's community partner, the regenerative arts festival Hogfish, invites you to enjoy discounted tickets to the Maine premiere of The Breasts of Tiresias, an immersive, feminist, and gender-expansive interpretation of Francis Poulenc's surrealist vocal work, which is itself based on the surrealist play by Guillaume Apollinaire. The event will take place at AURA on August 1, 2, and 3, 2024.
The Breasts of Tiresias is a mix of music, opera, immersive theater, feminism, and surrealism--as only Hogfish could present. The performance shares a double bill with TERESA'S TATAS!, an interactive dance party featuring music and themes from the show woven into a night of empowering electronica by DJ xnrg.
Audience members are encouraged to wear pink, blue, and white outfits that celebrate their authentic selves in any style. AURA is a fully accessible venue.
