"Seeing Through a Window" at Easthaus

Easthaus is excited to announce its first exhibition, Seeing Through a Window, featuring the artwork of Jenna Girolamo MFA '25 and Trevor Toney. In Seeing Through a Window, the paintings serve as windows to interior spaces and exterior landscapes, representing abstract perceptions motivated by the artists' desire for balance and unity. Girolamo and Toney have redefined perspective, finding that metaphorical renderings of space are the markers of truth, replacing a solely geometric-based perspective.

Established in 2024 by Drew Eastwood MFA '24, and Alyssa Schadhauser, Easthaus is an artist-run contemporary apartment art gallery in Portland, Maine. The gallery features historic hardwood floors and angular third-floor ceilings, creating a unique viewing experience for art enthusiasts. Easthaus operates on a pop-up/invitation basis for exhibition planning and only offers appointment viewing hours.

The closing reception for Seeing Through a Window is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. To RSVP, please message Easthaus via Instagram (@easthausgallery).
