Jennifer Brou is an artist, designer, and educator based in South Portland, Maine. Her multifaceted studio practice includes knitwear design, drawing, and photography. Jennifer currently teaches in the Foundation and Continuing Studies Programs at Maine College of Art & Design.
Jennifer has 13-years of experience as a designer and developer in the footwear industry and has been designing hand-knit garments and accessories since 2016. Her knitwear designs have been widely published in international publications such as Amirisu, Beloved Patterns, Laine, Making Magazine, Making Stories, and have been included in Woolfolk, Brooklyn Tweed, and Farmer’s Daughter Fibers collections. Her drawings have been included in exhibitions at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, Zero Station, University of New England, Easthaus Gallery, Buoy Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art & Design, and Cicada.
