Rebekah Bryer is a public humanities scholar and non-profit worker based in Portland, Maine. Her research focuses on the intersection of public memory practices and performance in the United States, with a special focus on public commemoration. She earned a PhD in Theatre and Drama from Northwestern University and a MA in Public History from Northeastern University. She has been published in Hyperallergic and The Washington Post, among other publications.
