Application Procedure

Students who do not wish to apply for Federal Financial Aid will need to complete a FAFSA Waiver Form prior to the beginning of the academic year.

Approximately one third of all students are selected for verification by the government. If you are selected for verification you will need to submit supporting documents to confirm your FAFSA information is correct.

Change in Circumstances

Sometimes a family’s financial circumstances change or are not accurately reflected in the FAFSA. Maine College of Art & Design's Financial Aid Office will review your request for reconsideration of your aid award. If such situations apply to your family, you or your parents may submit a letter of appeal to our office specifically stating that you are requesting a review of your file and the reason for the review. Please give specific information and documentation so that we are as informed as possible when we perform the review and submit requests to finaid@meca.edu.
